CYPRUS RUGBY FEDERATION SIGNS MULTI-YEAR SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH ELÉA ESTATE
Important three-year association will enhance and grow the profile of both organizations on the domestic and international stage
(Paphos, Cyprus, January 20th, 2012) The Cyprus Rugby Federation (CRF) has signed a three year sponsorship agreement with the prestigious Eléa Estate in Paphos. Recently voted the best golf destination in Europe and the best new leisure development in the world, Eléa Estate will bring much need support to the fast growing and successful Federation and its national squads. Furthermore, as well as increasing the awareness of both golf and rugby to a wider sporting audience, there are many synergies between the two organizations, most notably the growing sense of a sport and leisure within the Cypriot community.
As an official partner of the CRF, Eléa Estate will provide support for an organization (CRF) that is committed to growing rugby across the country. As well as exposure and visibility at CRF match days, websites (www.cyprus-rugby.com) and other collateral, Eléa Estate will be promoted on advertising boards at all national team matches. In addition, the CRF will use Eléa Estate as a preferred venue for social and fund raising events.
The Cyprus Rugby Federation represents a relatively new rugby nation, and one that is already highly regarded, having played 17 internationals and lost just one. The Cyprus national team also remains one of the few countries to win its first ever fixture, and to-date the only team to win their first international match by over 30 points. Following on from its early successes, it is the aim of the Cyprus national team to continue to improve to a point where qualification for the 2015 World Cup becomes a realistic goal rather than just a dream.
Ross Robertson, Director of Operations at Eléa Estate, said: “As part of our commitment to this new partnership and to supporting Cyprus Rugby we are planning to stage a series of events and golf days to generate financial support for the Cyprus Rugby Federation. As one of the best leisure destinations in Europe, it is important Eléa Estate associates itself with organizations which are successful, growing at a significant rate, forward thinking and enhance the community in a sporting sense. The Cyprus Rugby Federation does all that and much more, and we are delighted to play a part in ensuring it continues.”
Mr. Theo Lenos Vice President of the Cyprus Rugby Federation, said: “We are proud to welcome Eléa Estate as an official partner and in the process gain the support of the country’s highest profile new residential and golf development. I am sure both parties will hugely benefit from the additional exposure and goodwill this working relationship will offer.”
The centerpiece of Eléa Estate is its 18-hole Eléa Golf Club, and since officially opening in October 2010, the Sir Nick Faldo designed course has gone on to receive significant international acclaim, including being named as the Best International Leisure Development at the 2011 International Property Awards, sponsored by Bloomberg and Google, and was also ranked in the Top 10 new international golf destinations of 2010 by Golf Magazine in the USA, one of the world’s most respected golf journals.
This new partnership comes at an exciting time for Eléa Estate as it launches its residences project that, on completion, will boast 300 units including four and five-bedroom golf-fronted villas and two and three-bedroom homes, supported by a boutique hotel, extensive spa facilities and eventually a ‘village’ with shops and restaurants.
