A glorious weekend in London marked a fresh chapter for our Mouflons, as thirty-nine current and prospective players gathered for a two-day camp at Eton Manor Rugby Club. Leading the way was our new Head Coach, Liam Dunseath, supported by Attack & Backs Coach, James Peters - together laying the foundations for new beginnings and fresh learnings across the group.

Players travelled from far and wide - Belgium, Ireland, Manchester, Wakefield and beyond, to be part of the camp. We were also delighted to welcome a crop of young Londoners from Chingford, Oaklands College and Old Grammarians who joined for the first time. In total, 19 new players entered the fold - a fantastic sign for the future.

Across the two days, the squad was put through its paces both on the field and in the classroom. It was particularly special to see new players bonding with senior Mouflons, keeping alive the tradition of brotherhood that defines Cyprus Rugby.

Liam Dunseath Impressed by Players' Commitment
“As coaches, we came away ecstatic about the approach and application of the learnings we witnessed over the two days of connecting with the players, staff, and management.
This weekend was about evolving our identify, connecting the way we play to our purpose and aligning our language and terminology.
We were deeply impressed by their commitment at the start of this new journey for the Mighty Mouflons - representing not only each other, but also their families and the people of the island.”
- Liam Dunseath, Head Coach

James Peters Happy With Successful Team Building Weekend
“It was great to get everyone together for the weekend at Eton Manor RFC.
The players and support staff alike have worked extremely hard across the weekend which has allowed to us maximise our time together.
We’ve come away from the weekend with an established set of standards, alignment on how we want to play the game, and ultimately better prepared as we build towards our first test against Malta, on November 15th.”
- James Peters, Attack & Backs Coach
A New Chapter in Cyprus Rugby's Story
On behalf of the Union, a heartfelt thank you goes to our hosts at Eton Manor Rugby Club, and to everyone who helped make this weekend possible - pulling favours, organising details, and working tirelessly behind the scenes. Special thanks must also go to Billy and George Cosma for their invaluable support.

To the new players - you are now part of a story that continues to be written. Being a Mouflon is about more than rugby. Cyprus is a place of history, culture, and resilience. Our people understand what it means to fight for survival, to adapt, and to stand together when it matters. We carry that same mentality onto the pitch.
We may not be the biggest team in world rugby, but we have something no one else can replicate - our identity. We’re a family. We represent our island, our people, our families, and the rugby community that built this team from scratch in less than 20 years.
Every cap is earned. Every jersey carries the sweat and sacrifice of those who wore it before. Wearing it is an honour, but also a responsibility.
Now it’s your turn to build on that legacy.
Welcome to the family. Welcome to the brotherhood.
