Calling all Rugby Players Eligible to Play for Cyprus

We continuously seek to increase our pool of players from the Cypriot diaspora and on-island rugby players, in men's and women's rugby, with the aim of raising the profile of the sport across the island and achieving greater success on the international stage. We welcome players aged 16 and above, but if you qualify and are under 16, you are still encouraged to reach out to us.

Do You Qualify to Play for Cyprus Rugby?

If you satisfy one of the following criteria, you are eligible to play for the national rugby team of Cyprus:

• You were born in Cyprus (excluding sovereign base areas)

• Your parent/s or grandparent/s were born in Cyprus (excluding sovereign base areas)

• Residency: You have been registered exclusively with the Cyprus Rugby Federation for at least 60 consecutive months immediately before playing or you have completed 10 years cumulative residence in Cyprus (excluding sovereign base areas)
